BABSON PARK – Dale R. Fair Babson Park Elementary Principal Ken Henson (left) and Assistant Principal Elizabeth Tyler (right) served as human “sundaes” recently so students and staff could celebrate the school’s “sweet success.” During a school-wide assembly Friday (Aug. 27), Henson and Tyler donned goggles and sat in a wading pool while students began working – grade by grade – to top the human sundaes with goodies ranging from chocolate syrup to sprinkles and cherries. When the administrators could no longer see through their goggles, teachers joined in the fun too!
Not only did the school earn an A from the state, but Babson Park was one of only 11 Polk schools to achieve AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) under the No Child Left Behind Act standards.
