LAKE WALES – Janie Howard Wilson Elementary students earned the right to take part in Splash Day on Sept. 3 as part of the school’s new Positive Behavior Support program. More than 500 students earned tickets to the first monthly celebration, which included a Splash Zone provided by Lake Wales Firefighters.
On a warm Friday, students like fifth grader Eva Atkinson enjoyed the chance to cool off during the Splash Day program. Students also played with hula hoops, threw splash balls, blew bubbles and enjoyed popsicles.
Fifth grade friends Isela Uribe and Skyler Bailey [Photo #2] enjoyed the reward program. During September, students are working toward the incentive “So You Think You Can Dance.”





LAKE WALES – Janie Howard Wilson Elementary students cashed in their Star Bucks – earned in the school’s Positive Behavior Support program – to take part in a Crafty Celebration last week (Jan. 27) that one student described as the “best celebration ever!”
LAKE WALES – Six members of the 2011 Lake Wales Highlanders football team made college commitments today (Feb. 1) as part of National Signing Day.
